The new clause requires women applicants to have a ‘normal’ chest size of 74cm ।and 79cm when ‘expanded’.for the post of forest guards and rangers introduced by forest department officials in Madhya Pradesh has left several women applicants miffed and uncomfortable.

Such a clause was only mandatory for male applicants so far, in which a candidate’s chest is measured twice during the selection procedure, once after exhaling and again after inhaling, which is the ‘expanded’ state.

40 girls rescued from Delhi Rohini ashram of

Authorities rescued 40 girls from Virendra Dev Dikshit’s Adhyatmik Vishwa Vidyalaya ashram in Rohini, Delhi where the ‘godman’ is believed to have illegally confined minors.

A team of senior officials in Delhi, including Delhi Commission for Women chief Swati Maliwal, last evening, rescued as many as 40 girls from an ashram in the national capital’s Rohini area.

The Rohini ashram is run by a self-styled godman called Virendra Dev Dikshit, a ‘baba’ believed to be obsessed with the idea of having 16,000 women with him.

जज सैनी ने अपने आदेश में (संलग्न) स्पष्ट लिखा की दोनों वकील एक रेगुलर और एक विशेष प्रॉसिक्यूटर अलग अलग दिशा में भाग रहे थे,

कागजों पर कोई वरिष्ठ अधिकारी दस्तख़त करने को तैयार नही था,

The judgement says that at the beginning, the prosecution was very much enthusiastic and presented the case with great care. But at the end, the quality of prosecution was deteriorated and became directionless. Later stages, no senior officer or prosecutor were ready to sign the applications. Judge O P Saini specially and categorically mentioned that “in the final stage of the trial, SPP Grover and the regular CBI prosecutor moved in “two different directions without any coordination.”

The judge also pointed that “When questioned, why senior officer was not ready to sign, the reply of regular senior PP would be that the Spl. PP would sign it and when the Spl. PP was questioned, he would say that CBI people would sign it.”

“This shows that neither any investigator nor any prosecutor was willing to take any responsibility for what was being filed or said in the court,” the court said.

So what exactly does this mean? The Special prosecutor deliberately showed no interest in the case and confused the court with no clear agenda?

Initially it was U U Lalit who was the special prosecutor appointed for the case, after U U Lahit was promoted as the Supreme Court judge, the case was taken over by Anand Grover.

Who is Anand Grover?

Anand Grover is none other than terrorist Yakub Memon’s lawyer who had appelead for a mercy petition in Supreme Court two years back. He was one of the lawyer along with Prashant Bushan and others who wanted Supreme Court to consider mercy plea for Yakub Memon. He called the Supreme Court blood thirsty people who wanted to hang Yakub Memon.
